There are two reasons why I didn't order a Dargie Delight Bongo.

-My two other basses are just falling apart so fast so I needed a new bass PRONTO. I was told that the bass will be shipped at around December, and between that time I had a lot of gigs.

-Green is one of my least favorite colors.

.......god I wish the ebony fretboard comes standard in the near future:(.

That body has been sitting in the corner of my cubicle and wears many scar wounds from ramming my chair into it. I just asked an artist shoot it so I could post it to torture Jason. He usually is spot on with his observations around here. Hey he also bought me a tequila shot in Dallas..

Umm, I don't care how many scars it has, before you pitch it into the dumpster PM me and get my address and I'll pay you to ship it to me- for real. Please?

Does the phrase "Snowball's chance in Hell" mean anything to you? :D

Besides--he had it painted to torture me (mission accomplished), so what makes you think you'd get it when the devil is ice skating?

I can imagine you guys using these things to play tennis in your lunch break :D

And although green is my least favourite colour the idea of ordering a Bongo in this colour is growing on me

This idea of scoring spare bodies to hang as art is a nice one (I would certainly do it) but those either stay as doorstops in Dargin's office or are destroyed, as horrible as both options sound. :D

Then all is basically going as planned.

The body is an obsolete build due to a production change so it became a sample finish body. I think we sprayed 5 or 6 of them...

Yeah, I've I had a couple of those "Snowball's chance" moments with this guy called "Jack" :p

Of course I was just kidding about the trashed body doorstop  (executing face saving measure in front of fellow bongoloids). I guess I'll just have to make do with the body attached to the second DD2 that I'm ordering.(cha-ching)

I mentioned to my wife over the phone that Scott Ball was taunting me. I was met with radio silence and the lights dimmed a little bit.

Bongo 6 in Dargie II, or a possible Big Al 5 next year. What to do, what to do....

Take some roses home for your wife and check the breaker panel.

Anything special planned for the DD2 case or will it be the "standard issue" hardshell?

Thanks!

I would advise you to beg, borrow, or steal to get that Bongo 6 DD2 before the order period is up. The number of those that will be built could probably be counted on one hand (or less), that = investment excuse for your commander in chief. Trust me on this, I have 252 years worth of 4001 ricks hanging on my wall from that one. Feel free to use my name as an excuse if you must.

Also, the other reason is I was watching the Chaos in Motion DVD the other day and Myung was tearing that six string up. It even made me want to get a six string Bongo and I'm a dyed in the wool five stringer. peace out

By bumping this were you trying to say, "Hey look at my sig I'm getting a DD2 Bongo 5HH? Geez, I'm so slow, it only took me two days to notice that, good choice!.
To tell you the truth, the ebony boards on these excite me just as much as the rosewood necks did (does). I love exotic (erotic?) woods on a bass, especially on that freak of the MM stable known as the Bongo. What will they do next?

Where's the DD-logo? Earlier models had a kind of picture of a drink right under the neck on the back of the bass, right?
