from memory It was given to someone that had been involved with an EBMM project. Not that long after it was on EBay

yeah we made some set neck and neck through Albert Lees and JP's because we are always trying different things. Every monday I get an engineering priority list and it never has less than 25 projects for either improving production techniques or reasearch and development for the instruments

gentlemen,
a few answers...

i don't own an AL with a standard (all maple) neck on it, but i can say the neck profile feels very much like my ' 97 pearl green AL, which i'm guessing is a standard AL profile even though it has a rosewood fretboard.

RG's other 'axis' was seafoam green and only had two pickups (neck & bridge). finding a picture may take some time...

and to BP,
RG may not have given you the exposure you wanted with this guitar but i've always given it my best shot when ever possible...

here's one example:

as for the requests about my other guitars, i will try to post some better photos, but that too will take some time....

and spud, thank you for the formal invitation to the ALOC, i gladly accept.

cheers!

That . Is. Awesome.

That shape / style / configuration probably had the potential to become iconic if released as the AXIS.
And the name TRULY fits the shape !

(Yes, it's already iconic to a degree as the AL - just wondering what may have been)

Hey Elroy.
It's a great bit of history you have in your possession. I always knew that EB MM supplied the AL with a RW neck to some of their endorsers ( a certain young endorser once on the forum had one with a r/w neck, but was lured via questionable management to another manufacturer). Then with the introduction of the Limited edition Guitars, The Dargie Delight guitars and now the All rose wood necks, us mere mortals can sample the delights of playing AL's with R/w boards.
Gonna be playing mine in anger this Thursday.

Would be great to see some pics when you are able, and that sea foam green example has grabbed my attention.
