Just got back after wrapping some pressies.
Got my missus a pearl necklace - single drop pearl on a chain - now that oughta get me in her good books.

Hey Spud,
Welcome back... I'm just heading out to grab a couple of pizzas for dinner tonite.
I was at an office party with my wife this afternoon when my son called me from Afghanistan. He had the satellite phone and was able to make some calls, Christmas will be good, he sounds good.
It was 11:30 PM their time and he said the Italians were throwing a party with champagne but he was on duty and couldn't drink anything.

My nieces boyfriend is due to go back as a medic for a second stint.
Gonna see him tomorrow around my brothers house for the usual Xmas evening party.

He'll be home for 2 weeks the end of January. He's also a medic, with the 82nd Airborne.

Tom got a keyboard with a mic, lots of fun so far. Had to brush up on my keyboard skills, managed to get some Working Class Man happening, and the Thomas The Tank Engine song! He wants mt to learn Shaun The Sheep song, so I better get practicing!
