Just saw a DDII BFR JP6 on a japanese site with the JP inlays. What gives? Were they a limited run for Japan?

I wonder if it that means it was his. I know we have people on the forum who could give a better translation, perhaps they'll chime in. Either way, they're just inlays, I would like the option to not have his inlays on the BFR's.John [petorushi] the fact that you have used as 1 of the main guitars, this " Dargie Delight " is even with the world tour which accompanies album 'Black Clouds & Silver Linings which become the 10th work'.
JP has the only one with those inlays.
I thought that was the case too but why would that guitar be on that site with a price? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Most likely because it was Petrucci's. And even if it wasn't does it really matter if Japan got a special run of Dargie's? It's not as if the Dargie's made available to us are made out of wicker and drift wood. They are still amazing instruments even if they don't have someone else's initials on the 1st fret.
That is cheap for a BFR in Japan. I highly, highly doubt it is John's.
Things cost a lot of money over there.
Oh man...so whats the price in US $$$ converted from yen?

As of the close of the market yesterday, $1.00 = ¥91.38, so they are both well over $5000.
This is true but the general markup for these guitars in Japan in huge, so that is generally in line with what they'd charge normally, so I highly doubt that it would be JP's... instead likely just a BFR DD2 with standard inlays.
I am most definitely 100% wrong. Did a little research and here is another Japanese site selling a JP DD2 with JP inlays and the BFR inlay on the 12 fret.
