Guys, I don't mean to be a downer, but BP has already said that a pure custom job like an HSS AL isn't in the cards. If this does go through, it would have to be based on an existing model, with the only difference being different wood or finish.

Guys, I don't mean to be a downer, but BP has already said that a pure custom job like an HSS AL isn't in the cards. If this does go through, it would have to be based on an existing model, with the only difference being different wood or finish.

If they're already set up for an HHH AL route (I think we've already seen one of those) - the only different thing is an HSS pickguard - and they ain't that hard to make. Seems to me they already have the specs and dimensions on where to cut and place an HSS pickguard on a 22 fret guitar as well. I don't think any retooling would be needed. Just slap 50 AL blank pickguards in the cutting machine for the Silo Special config. They could even use the route for the HHH AL.

I agree with you Norrin, it wouldn't be hard, but BP mentioned specifically the HSS AL as not going to happen, along with a JPX with a scoop. I would love an HSS AL too but the Pops has spoken.
