***please read***

What are you guys doing? You have a company that would entertain this and then you are telling them that what they say they wont make is easy to do and proceed to talk of lrdering it. There will be no HSS albert lee Got it?...Be careful or I wont do it at all.

Right folks, we've wandered off topic again, this isn't easy as it is, if we hack of BP it's just wasted 3 days of my life, please keep it to what's do-able -bodies need to go through a CNC machine (as far as I know) - you can't just make them do HSS - it costs.

THIS IS AN OPTION FOR PAINT, ROSEWOOD NECK AND IF WE'RE LUCKY A DECAL. -

please stick to it, Browndog excellent job,

my mother was rushed into hospital today so I have to disapear as my dad is pretty old and struggles on his own, - please please please don't mess this up - I'd love to come back and have 50 of you willing to sign up please help me......and behave! - I'll be back as soon as I can.

thanks
Mike

sorry guys, but i´m not a AL-maniac at all.
if it would have been a silo, more / y2d, axis, luke or jp, you could have count me in, but not for an AL with that kind of color.
my next guitar should have a trans color with a nice top.

I hope this isn't breaking the rules of this thread but, I think a double humbucker AL with a mahogany body, Koa top, mahogany neck, rosewood board, gold hardware and finished in the new island burst would be absolutely breath taking.

What about some solid color options to make people happy?

And if we can pull off an AL this year, maybe BP let's us do an Axis or other model next year... Not everyone wants an AL, but with the intro od the 2hb AL it seems to be the right choice for this year.

I also agree, keep it simple. We are just looking for a custom color like the Dargies... If we get crazy with options BP will shut it down quick!

Sounds expensive... No offense but to appeal to a wider audience I think it would be best to stick to a standard model (non-BFR).

While I do like an AL, have one on the way, have to agree with you Joe, this is Smellys wish so more power to him but it is to much like whats already available with the new AL's from NAMM.

Doing something with a Y2D would have been cool had not thoght of that tiill you mentioned it.

Anyways looking forward to seeing whatever comes of this, as a distant admirer:)

Im off to a funeral home for a couple of hours followed by a funeral tomorrow. Anymore mock ups will have to wait till I get some free time.

Lumberjack has offered me help with Photobucket so that post has been answered. No other offers of help is needed.

Thanks
Jeff

none taken  but I think that it wouldn't be no more expensive than the koa jp or luke.

The KOA JP and KOA LUKE have the highest MSRP (I'm not sure what the Silo Doubleneck retails for but I know the KOA are right near it) is what I was referring to.

Don't get me wrong that would be an absolutely beautiful guitar. Just remember we have to market this guitar to at least 50 guitar players all with different amounts of disposable income. Hence why I suggested the sticking to standard non BFR models. By avoiding fancy tone woods the guitar can appeal to a wider market of players. :)

I'm just speculating here but I really think you guys need to focus on creating a guitar that appeals to a wider variety of players. Now don't get me wrong I love sparkle colors. I also think we are underestimating how hard it will be to get 50 people to agree on the EXACT same specs of the guitar, let alone get them to put up the cash when it comes time to order. I'm just trying to be realistic as well as offer a little bit constructive criticism :)

Thank you!

Same thing I've been saying all along as well as other people, but it seems to go unnoticed. I don't see 50 people shelling out money for a pink sparkle AL.

-Phil

Thank you!

I would have been in on this, but no lefty option on the AL of course. But that's ok, there aren't too many of us here anyway. I hope you guys can get it done. Good luck!!! :)

Maybe set up a poll, and a poll only, no comments allowed to see which guitar (Luke, Axis, Morse, etc...) people would be the most interested in purchaseing. Once you figure that out then start working out the details (color, hardware, etc...) Just my 2 pennies.
