I'm seriously GASing for a black HH Al. Does anyone know if there's a limited order window to get one with the rosewood neck?

Can anyone <jack stares at Fing> give a comparison between....
HH Al
SSS Al
Al BFR
???

I spent an hour and a half at the Boston GC just now and spent most of the time with the hot rod red Al HH through a Boogie Mk V. I've never made a guitar growl before, but I did with this combo! They also have a white HH Al with no pickup covers. I also played a Reflex and a Y2D just to get some comparison. The Al felt like a little sports car. Very quick on its feet, able to do what I wanted as I could think it.

I've decided that my next guitar is going to be an Al.
Gotta decide between the above 3 choices.
Not considering an MM90......I need room to dig the pick in between pickups.
Oh....somebody buy my sub in the fs section. :D

Jack, I had talked to Larry the Platium Room guy and he told me that they had those 2 AL HH's. I tried to get there this weekend, but it wasn't happening man. Same with this week as well. How did the Hot Rod Red AL HH look??

You know what? Thats my ONE thing I dont like about the MM90 AL, I always hit that middle pickup all the time, and it does irritate me to no end some days. I deal with it, but its not an issue on the SSS AL, more room on that one. Luckily the pure tone and allround greatness of the MM90 AL wins me over.

Guys, I got to chance to play a Hot Rod Red AL HH today. I've got to say that its one smokin' guitar. As much as I love my Dargie 6, I think if I got the AL it'd be giving my JP a run for its money. I can't believe the tonal versatility of the AL HH, or how it plays. I was totally comfortable with the neck profile as soon as I picked it up and the guitar just oozes tone.

I'm not much of a tone knob user, but I love the tone that the AL HH's get with the tone knob rolled down, especially on the neck pickup. I'm probably gonna get one of these in the next couple weeks, but now its just a toss up between the Mint Green or Hot Rod Red.
