So are you saying that the feel of the neck is what is the most important to you, or you just can't play a fast enough stream of notes on it? Ironic, no?
There are no EBMM dealers that carry stock in my entire STATE! Closest is 1000kms away. Hasnt stopped me ever. If I havent played a particular model I usually buy off ebay used so if I dont like it I can sell it back without losing any money. If I like it i'll keep it or be assured that when I order a new one it will have no surprises. Seriously, if you thought about it there are ways to not be let down and lose money.
He has to be enthusiastic! Unfortunately, selling Fender only requires him to open the door in the morning. I hope they do sell some, so new stock can be brought in. That black Luke is almost 2nd hand!
I TOTALLY agree with this statement .....the UNfinished neck is THE reason i started to play EBMM ...and the Quality of the Instrument SOLD ME
Same here, but then I played a BFR JP and the preference for unfinished necks went out the window ............
I've never quite understood the finished vs. unfinished neck thing. I think it's probably just me because I'm weird, but I don't notice the textural difference when I'm switching between my guitars - I don't even think about it. I only notice the neck shape difference. Having said that, I gotta say that I don't have to alter technique at all when I switch.
Spud, I have a bongo with a painted neck and I do like the feeling of that neck. EBMM painted neck are way different from the other guitars I have played
I love them both painted and oiled![]()
Its all about choices
Well he's been suspiciously absent since his first post. Hopefully he's been playing the BFR and bonding with the neck.
