dude, copy and paste the link on here, theres a ton of people with your name
For some reason thats not working for me either. If you want to hear some sound clips of an HH stingray my band has some recordings up on our facebook, and theres two videos of us playing live. The amp I'm using is an Ampeg SVT3pro with an Ampeg 410HLF cabinet. Both the videos and the songs are on the left hand side of the page. Heres the link http://www.facebook.com/theoverdriveband
I hear you....but I guess I'm weak...I have a small collection...is 3 basses considered a collection?![]()
Okay, most of my advice doesn't apply to your situation. What I saw didn't look too bad; you look like you know what you're doing. Difficult to pick out the tone in the videos, but if you don't like it, by all means go out and find something that sounds good to you. I saw a large Ampeg cab in the stage vid- not yours?
You prolly need a good 2x12 or 4x10 for best results if you can afford it; a crappy 15 not gonna cut it on that stage (you were right 57). Here's something else to consider. If you really have to provide your own sound from the stage (no PA support), sell the SLO Ray and use the proceeds to fund a good amp and cab setup. You like the regular Ray neck anyway and I think your money is better spent on power and cabs.
well what if i tried to get a backline 600 amp with an ampeg cab? or should i just get a combo amp? plus if anyone has facebook you guys can see my covers to see how i play.
Whats your name on Facebook.
Don't worry so much about changing out amps(Head) right now. I think what you have is fine, but you may want to invest in a 410 or 212 like DaddyFlip suggested, and you have to master your eq...Just remember not to dial in too much bass or you may wind-up sounding muddy.
Not sure I would want to play in that band anyways. It may be a blessing in disguise.
well only 3 of these are like recent videos but some ok ones i guess. YouTube - kadaj110's Channel
That live clip has some terrible sound quality. Just try some amps out(as Bloodfist suggested), make sure you can afford what you want, but make sure can gig with it too. A 300 watt amp and a 410, and you should be good enough to play some live gigs.
thanks. i will consider that strongly. jammed with my friend today. it's been months since i play with him and it was really hard to match y rumble 15 with his line 6. have to a break though because lately my index finger has been hurting from finger plucking.
