I was right to be scared. Since getting a bongo 45 days ago I have sold both of my stingrays. First time in years that I haven't had a ray. You guys could have warned me.

I tell you this like an older brother, affectionately: big mistake.

Look at my case for example: I started (on the EBMM train) with a Stingray, I thought it was IT then moved on to a Bongo, and then to a 25th, (while in the meantime other brands have come and gone) but... at the end of the day I will always keep my Ray5 single pup because it's in a breed of his own and nothing can replace the growl and the meaty feel it gives.

I warned you.

What are ya loike, eh?

The feeling of power. My rays were 4 strings and this bongo starts with the mighty B. Plus I had the chance to sell them for more than I payed. Then there is the eternal gas for an Al 5 and a classic 5 maple.:p

I absolutely loved my Sterling... I mean ABSOLUTELY loved it... That was 2004...

In 2005 I bought my first Bongo... Then another... Then another...

Sterling hung on the wall for years...

Sterling sold earlier this week - I'm all Bongo...

And it's all good! :D

Bongo's are great! I always call it my amp killer because it's 18volt pre-amp can be very tough on an amp if not dialed in right. But my Sterling and Rays don't take a back seat, they all share the stage at some point. Bongo neck is nicer than Stingray I will agree. It seems easier to play....

So where are the pictures?

I'm not sure I would have sold the others, especially the 30th, but there's no need to be afraid of the Bongo. At worst, you don't like it and at the best, it's the best thing ever. If you find you like it better (which you must have), you end up having something even better than what you already liked, so that can only be a good thing.
