A group that I don’t think anyone had on their list is The Cars. Their first album was worn out in my cars tape deck back in High school.

My list pretty much seems to reflect the fact the I started playing guitar in the early 80's. Not entirely sure how much these affected my life, I can say that having seen most of the players on my list, two of them forever changed the way I view the instrument: Derek Trucks and Jeff Beck.

Had never heard of Derek Trucks when I saw him years ago opening for Eric Johnson...SG straight into a small Fender...amazing. Never "Got" slide until that moment.

Had the rare opportunity to see Jeff Beck up close in a small club with great acoustics...beyond description! By far the most amazing show/performance I have ever seen.

My List:

Jeff Beck Blow by blow
Jeff Beck Live at Ronnie Scotts Bluray (Should be required ownership if you play guitar)
Eric Johnson Ah Via Musicom
UFO Strangers in the night
Derek Trucks Live at the Georgia Theatre
Led Zeppelin IV
Joe Satriani surfing with The Alien
Pink Floyd Dark Side
Yngwie Malmsteen Rising Force
SRV Couldnt stand the weather
Micheal Schenker Unforgiven Live
Micheal Hedges Aerial Boundaries
Gary Moore Corridors of power
Allman Brothers Live at the Fillmore East
AC/DC Powerage
Van Halen I
Montrose Montrose
Jimi Hendrix Are you experienced
Led Zeppelin Presence
Van Halen Fair warning
