Just introducing myself.

I've recently begun teaching at a store that carries Music Man and have fallen in love with the products. I'm sure you guys get this all the time.

Aynways, hopefully I can afford one soon. :)

Hi Glenn-

I'm Peter- and i've got a problem... i'm addicted to Ernie Ball Music Man Guitars... and well just about anything related to Ernie Ball. I got my first true taste of the stuff when i posted on the WTB Thread and Fing contacted me... so be careful where you post and how you post it... once you own one it will change the way you look at music FOREVER!!!

:)

Yea, I haven't had gear lust this bad in a while.

Ever since I got over giving a crap about Fenders and Gibsons, started gigging for a living and suffering the consequences I've been searching for a guitar that fits.

Currently there are 3 that I'm aware of: all Albert Lees. One a Dargie with 3 soapbars, another soapbar with hugger orange paint and a figured maple neck and a sunburst HH with that unbelievable rosewood neck.

My concerns (other than being a poor musician) are:

How unstable and possibly problematic on the highway is that birdseye neck?

Do those humbuckers sound worth a dam and/or loose too much gain when coil tapped?

Can I do some pickup mods and retain the silent circuit?

Thanks guys!

YES, these guitars are addictive and it is very hard not to own more than one once you have experienced them.
You can go to a psychiatrist and tell them about your new "problem" but they won't know anything about MM guitars so they won't be able to help you and you will have to buy more and more of them...YOU ARE TRAPPED!
There is no escape! But it really is a nice problem.

Not a lot if any of those man.

Birdseye is birdseye man, my personal experiences are the plainer necks stay in tune better, but that's me man.

The AL HH uses the Axis pups, they are great man and it's awesome!!! Mahogony tone block in there man. :)
