I'm sure most of you saw this one for sale a few other places, and I tried to resist it (I really did), but it kept calling my name.

A random survey at work finds the office consensus as "ugly." I had no idea I worked around such unrefined cretins. :)

It may not be for everyone, but this thing oooozes cool to me.

I won't have it for a bit, but I'm too excited to wait to tell you. Once it's in my hands I'll take some appropriately glamorous photos for us.

For now, a pic or two from the seller:

It’s definitely cool not ugly at all. I’d have to say pretty rare as well. Nice buy.

I'm with the 'cool' camp. (OK, not literally, as I'm the 'uncoolest' person I know).

That is a pretty rare guitar that you have. Great score!

Nice guitar.

Not mad keen on the pick guard colour as it is.

How would it look with a clear pick guard?

I bet there's a lovely black finish under there?

Or is it routed between the two HBs?

For what it's worth, I'm not typically a fan of the Axis (heresy, I know) - of all the balls I like it least. The body just doesn't typically grab me. This is the first time I have gone into a thread and went "oh man that thing is bad ass". Congrats. Not only do you have a very cool guitar, but you've made me GAS for a Axis for the first time in my life.

interesting

LOL! Is that like "it has a great personality?"

I'm gonna put another vote in for ugly, if you don't mind :p

I don't mind. :)

Thanks for the comments. I'll get some more pics once I have it (late next week I think).

I can see where one might find it, let's say, less than attractive, but to me it's got something.

I think it will work great in my countrified Van Halen-Rammstein tribute band.

ive looked at the photos a few times and now i'll weigh in...

I like the uniqueness of the guitar... it has a very vintage feel to it and for some reason it just draws me in. I think you did good...
