I see a bunch of familiar faces here :D

Here's a few more pics. While the birdseye pattern isn't all that dense, they eyes are very big and bold with a nice grain line pattern in between. It looks like flame maple from the side. Yes, it now has black straplocks.......until my chrome ones arrive

One Q........

What strings come on these?? Are they the Hybrid Slinky's?? I really like the way they feel.

NBD! SR4 Natural Classic

Here is the Natural that I got from Robbie in Dallas.

It weighs 10.4 pounds which I was initially concerned about but with a good strap it hasn't been a problem. The 2-band has really opened my ears a bit. Even without the center detent that I am used to with my 3-band SR5 it's a little more intuitive and responsive than I expected. And I have found that boosting the lows and rolling the highs almost all the way back is a beautiful thing.

Here are some pics I took fairly quickly today. It has a birdseye neck which doesn't really scream birdseye but is nicely "cloudy". In regular light you can see the eyes a little more. The body has a little figuring as well.

Oh, stay tuned for the SR5 Classic that is expected to arrive next week!

My 'Pink Panther' Bass

Well,

After seeing the photos of the Shell Pink Color Classics, I just couldn't resist and called Robbie down at GC Dallas... My mother called it a "Pink Panther" when it came in. So, let the record reflect such on this Mother's Day weekend.

I would post pictures but photobucket is acting weird for some reason!

That's classic White yeah?

Mine will be the same but Birdseye maple neck. :)

Cool. Yep, CW. It's actually creamier looking than in this pic (or any of the many pics I've taken). The creaminess is hard to capture. But it's a beauty, and an absolute joy to play.

Nice, Mr Light, congrats on the pink panther. Some real stunners in this thread. Coral Red looks GREAT with the white pearl guard. And that nat is phat.

NICE!! If I ever find a 5er, with bold, flame maple like that, I'll jump on it. The one at Bass Central was nice but not nearly THAT nice.

Check out the black one they just got at TPB. Looks nice. Here's another shot of mine ... pretty good, but still doesn't do it justice. Just drop dead gorgeous, if ya like that kinda thing.

Man look at that neck! A Stingray with a neck like that in powder blue would put a massive hit on my credit card. JOSH
