No, not the Beverly Hill Cop tune but the word around the campfire is that my Big Al 5 SSS is due to arrive at "Wazoo Towers" in 2-3 weeks. The agonizing wait is kicking in, and it's a biatch! Still... I've got plenty of strings to pluck with my Bongo 5HHP, 25th 5HSS, StingRay5 and a few more unmentionable equally great basses to keep my pangs at bay.

I have my fingers firmly crossed that my Classic Ray will be keeping your Big Al company on its shipping journey - who knows - we may receive them the same day

I've just heard news from a Blind Lemon that... my BA5SSS is confirmed to be in transit, and on this weekend shipment, and that it will arrive next week... all going well.

Suddenly, looks like I have all the good reason to start getting excited... so it's back on the Nytol for me until next week.

I'm watching this thread with great interest (and self interest I confess) - I am awaiting a call on my forthcoming Classic which may (or may not) be in the self same shipment as your Big Al, Wazoo - one thing is for sure, the heartburn rate and short temper is not subsiding at present

I have a feeling one or possibly two of my basses are on this shipment. Definitely the 4 String H Ray, possibly the Ray 5 HS.

I felt the same way when I was waiting for mine to arrive!

I played my Big Al 5 single H last night (Friday) and I'll also be playing it tonight (Saturday.) The excitement of owning/playing a Big Al 5 doesn't wear off, trust me.

I think it's really cool that we will both have one in Candy Red. That color is the perfect color for a Big Al 5.

THe new BA5SSS was not on this shipment as originally thought by Pete, the next shipment will be 2-3 weeks time. Oh well. Sounds dreadful but its not the end of the world,

At least when I bought the 25th I even knew the exact date & time of arrival, "first line ashore" and "all fast" grrrr

Still it's not all bad news and "best things come to those who wait" let's cheer up!
