Man, I wish I could, but funds are tight right now. I did see him in San Jose back in 2005, and it was/is hands down the best concert I ever saw. Paul was singing very well (and the songs were in the original keys, not tuned down for him), his band was absolutely tighter than a ducks ass; spot on harmonies, everything. Great song selection too; heavy on The Beatles (fine with me), but there were quite a few Wings and solo songs as well. He even broke out a Ukulele at one point and played one of George's songs (Something, I think). Fantastic, and it was a life-long goal to actually see Paul.

Have fun!

any knuckleheads going to see sir Paul this saturday in San Francisco?

Paul is one of 2 guys I really wish I'd seen 20 years ago.
The other is Elton John.

Still hoping to see paul one day

I think you will be glad you did. 5 years ago he was amazing (maybe I was amazed!!!!!), I can't imagine he would've aged much for the worst since. Enjoy.

You MUST go if you are anywhere nearby. I saw him last summer in Halifax and it was truly an amazing show. I go to at least 2 shows a month, and usually 3 or 4, so I've seen quite a few concerts. It was one of the best. Band is phenomenal. Song choice was great. Paul was singing (and playing) great. You'll love it.

Theres a great live DVD from NYC recorded last year. The band is tight and Paul’s voice is at its best.

Its called “Good Evening New York City”

A little off topic but I keep trying to score some Simon and Garfunkel tickets in Vancouver but they keep postponing the tour!! Currently indeffinately, guess Art is having some serious health problems...besides Floyd and maybe Cream dont think there is someone I would rather see more from back in the day, and both of those will most likely never happen again

I have seen him twice, once in 2004 the other time in 1991.

1991 was the first time I have cried during a concert  (the Golden slumbers suite).

I have awaken to the music with the Beatles and Paul McCartney and Wings My first LP was Band on the Run

I didn't go. My son used up a free ticket and saw him play in Cardiff, Wales the other week, and he was knocked out by PM and his band - his first major concert too - what a way to start off!!!

Yeah, man, go if you can. I saw him at the Bridge School Benefit show a few years back, and it was one of the most fun performances I've ever witnessed. Amazing songs, amazing performer, amazing vibe all around.

(I know, I know -- maybe I'm amazed...) :D

I missed the show Jeff talked about last year here at Citi Field in NY, but the reviews in every paper were as good as it gets. I had 2 friends who went and said that it was scary just how strong his voice still is, and the energy he displayed on stage for any age was amazing. Being as hardcore a Beatles fan as one could be I still have never seen one live, and time is running out as I also feel that if Maca ever felt he could not perform at a certain level he would pack it in instead of ever embaressing himself. But since every tour could be his last I would advise anyone that has a chance to see him that is a fan to jump on it.

Speaking of Elton John, I saw him about 20 years ago with Billy Joel, and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen.

Well, just watched the Cirque de soliel making of "LOVE" dvd last night...which is a cirque show with all beatles music playing in Vegas. It was all about the partnership of cirque and the living beatles, (and yoko and georges wife) in putting this show together.

Paul and Ringo were there on opening night really enjoying it, and Paul said he leaned over to Ringo and said, "Ya know...we were a fu@%ing great band!"

NEXT TIME HE COMES TO TOWN IM GOING.

Very worth seeing! Though expensive...but you can usually get same day tix for less at tix4tonight. Great music remixed by George Martin. Paul is truly a brilliant songwriter.

There was another great moment in the dvd where Paul gets a little teary remembering that the songs he wrote started on just a guitar or piano in a small room and somehow turned into this giant visual and performance extravaganza.
