It's early days, hopefully Dargin and BP will let us know in more details which basses can be offered with that neck combo.

It says on the flyer: all models except classic series.

Okay, I have to ask:
Are the necks actually roasted or is it just a treatment that makes them look roasted?

It says on the flyer: "Performance benefits of a thermally modified microstructure:" That ain't just fancy coloring.

Read the flyer kids!

Thanks, somehow when I clicked on the first post the flyer wasn't showing and now it is. Good but bad cause I wanted a Classic, so... too bad. The holiday fund is safe :(

Nice option! You need to take the black body colour though? I am a rarity as I dont have any black instruments as I just dont dig em, but that roasted neck is very pretty. Well done BP and Team.

Man that is a beautiful looking neck! I have only been a part of this forum a short while and I am constantly amazed at what the EBMM company continues to do with the guitars and basses they create.

And seriously mad.......but in a very nice way - I always love Wazoo's posts - do you keep all that cash under the mattress Fran

Fran... is this a lot of $$?? How many times in a row have you won at Monopoly?

About $8250 - enough for several EBMM basses :D

Back to the roasted necks - I am very very very tempted - available on a Bongo eh? Or Reflex? Or even a leftie Bongo (for my son). Guys you have many ingenious ways of coaxing money out of our pockets, but I really fancy one of these basses :)

Monkee what color would you choose? Black only accounts for about 40% of sales.....

Sterling Silver ;) Though I think many people would just like to be able to choose from the existing finishes.

Though many people also like Pizza Hut, so what do they know :D

That said I was thinking about buying specifically buying a black bass for the first time, so no complaints here. Will make a nice 30th birthday present to myself.

Personally, I liked how the rosewood necks were done with a choice of colors.

But, if it is a package deal, I think a lighter color would make a nice contrast with the darker roasted neck. If it were some variety of white, it'd have given people who want white Bongos a chance since there wouldn't be the difficulty with matching the satin neck to the body color.

Hey, you asked....

Awesome, just when I thought I was save and waiting for new Colors for a Big Al 5:(

Talking colors, I imagine buttercream / tort or black pickguard.

So orders on that can be placed all August, right?

OK, more questions:

1.) Is the neck oil & wax finished or high gloss poly finished?
2.) Is it available with a matching headstock? If not, what about the Reflex?

I find it hard to believe that there'd be complaints about what is essentially Black Sparkle, a rare, sought after, and beautiful finish. Ever seen one up close? Anyway, this is an EXTREMELY cool offering IMHO.
