so, this would be available on the JPX or BFR JP?
Would that make the BFR JP cheaper, since it doesn't have to be a nice figured top? I assume the body woods stay the same though.
And what would happen with the JPX? Black hardware, 5 way, black finish, ebony board.. with the Big frets... but the glossy maple neck? hmmmmm

Yes it is available on the JPX and BFR JP. This package is a $400 bump to list price, just like the Dargie II option last year - all body woods and options stay the same (aside from the maple neck). The BFR will not be "cheaper" because the top is being painted over, EB is still using maple underneath the finish (kind of like getting an Axis w/ solid top or trans - it's still the same price)

Great info Pete.

Anyone able to do a mock-up of a JPX version ???

(although I think the JPX need MHS and painted neck to complete the look)

I cry a little; I'll never get one of these.

No one is ever gunna sell one used.

You'd be surprised. I've seen the CFB sell some pretty rare pieces in the last year or so. Plus, there are still new BFR Rosewood necks out there to be had...and that's been over a year.

Dargin, if the roasting is supposed to make it more stable then why put the gloss finish on the neck? I guess it's aesthetics, but if regular models have unfinished necks and these should be more reliable why not leave them bare?

(are there 50 people here that want a jpx with a matching headstock, maybe we can get a custom run)

Doubt it man, those things don't happen, they've been asked before.

If what they are offering is your cup of tea, go for it, otherwise, wait, there will always be something else.

Just my .02 is that if you're sporting Roasted Maple...... SHOW IT OFF! You can't see the back of the neck most time you're playing on stage.

Gotta have it on the headstock. :D

Because the figuring pops tenfold when you gloss the neck. Not sure yet Glenn, I may snag that SR4 that's in the flyer.

I wonder how a guitar with a roasted maple TOP would look...
