...Not only are Bongos adorable, they are in fact-"chick magnets" or to be more equitable, (and politically-correct) they are "interested audience members/music afficianado magnets".

To wit:
I have a lot of great basses, all of which I enjoy performing with, each one pretty sweet , tone and feel.

And seriously- Almost every time-the Bongo goes out on stage, I receive a favorable and positive comment about it's unique appearance- Mostly along the lines of "Kewl Bass, Man!" or "That is a FUNKY instrument!" etc.
This from non-musicians mostly; people who are intrigued by the originality and form of the instrument as opposed to the majority of the Bass Guitars they see on stage. Remember- these aren't "bass geeks" like us!

The powerful tone of the Bongo always makes me play my best, really dig in, and I hope that helps to inspire favorable comments about the music in general as well as how the instrument looks.

But in my own xsperience; the verdict is IN-
Lots of folks feel that the Bongo is adorable.
