I would definitely say I'm now 'Bongo curious' if that is the correct phrase! It's sort of the level prior to GAS I'd say.
Well, I've said this for years ... there are two keys to accepting the Bongo:

1) You have to see it being played. It looks really weird on a stand but once you see it horizontally -- strapped onto someone, the proportions snap into focus and the shape works.

2) You MUST play it. First of all, most people aren't ready for how comfortable it it. Because the shape is so unorthodox, there is an expectation that it won't sit correctly or hang correctly. When you play it however, it just feels "right." When you actually play the bass and hear the tone (Especially if it's a fiver and you hear the B string!) and all of the flexibility the bass delivers, that's the real (AHA!) moment.

Nice predicition...I would venture to say the odds of me owning a Bongo are the same as the Cubs winning the world series....A Classic 5...not we're cookin...maybe Yankee odds on that one...:D
