I did it this past Sunday. I've been putting it off for about six months, but took the plunge. I am hooked on flats. Why didn't I do this sooner?

My band plays a lot of Motown/Stax, and I find that the Stage II flats on my Ray work fine. They are surprisingly bright, but moe lively in the upper ranges (think "Knock On Wood"). By comparison, the ***der sounds muddy.

I love the Group II's. They are surprisingly strident in the upper mids, but that .105 thumps. I agree, great for (the) soul.
