I just now had a chance to post this. I've been pretty busy. In any event, I got a new EBMM JP6 from GC about a week ago or so but it didn't come with the bar. The manager there said that he could order one, but said that somebody here or customer service are really good with this at ernie ball. I believe it! great company! great guitars!! I just don't know who to call? I have all the paperwork, serial, etc, just no bar in the case. I do have the reciept, keys, etc. Thanks in advance..

Yeah, tell me about it. They said that it can be ordered, so I really didn't care, but the manager was praising the customer service for EB. Before I brought it home, we did check everything out and it wasn't in the case with all the other stuff, that's when we had the discussion about the bar. Typically, I wouldn't use one, never did with Ibanez, but since these bars can be intact even while in the case, that's a nice touch.. I'd like to have the bar, ya know..

thanks for the number. I plan to go back to GC for other items, but figured to ask and make the phone call.

They are a great company.....but this is something the dealer should sort out for you rather than making it your problem to solve.

I had this happen first hand a couple of times.....their solution: Pull it off another guitar........doesn't really solve the problem, just pushes it to the next poor schmoe that buys one there......

Oh, did all the case candy come with your guitar too, or did you get an empty case???

If the GC staff say they need to order it for you, best to do that yourself and pay for one and chalk this one up to a lesson learned as I did.

That is totally GC responsibility to make sure you receive everything you are supposed to. I personally would not of left until they produced the bar out of principal as a lot of those salesmen have sticky fingers and help themselves to parts personally or for friends.

I had bought a discontinued used guitar in Sam Ash some years ago that was dead mint, and the sales guy goes in the back and comes out with some bogus case and a trem bar for a Strat meanwhile the guitar was not even a Fender. I had to tell him it was the wrong bar as he was about to try and screw it in.Anyway I ask the manager to do the right thing with the tax since it had the wrong case and trem and he gives me some song and dance about the owners wife being their. The funny thing is I wound up knowing the guy who sold them the guitar as he went back two days later to buy it back and was sick it was gone, but he told me he brought it in with the right case and trem which of course they clipped. I went in a week later to get a pack of strings but really to make sure I saw the manager who walked over to ask me how the guitar was , I told him how it was just killer and could not believe they had a mint custom shop model for that price, which kind of wiped the smile off his face.Yes it is sweet to get over on the supposed big boys who think they know it all.

It did come with all the case candy, minus the bar..

we will take care of you...I should have said that earlier.
thanks man, totally appreciated. I am going to call the number listed in the thread tomorrow. I went to GC and the manager did say that the part was on order, it just hasn't arrived yet. I dont know what the average turn around time is for one, but it's been probably about two weeks, or just under a couple weeks now since the purchase date. I don't want to have to pay for one, since I already bought it with the final sale price of the guitar, so letting GC handle it is fine, unless you guys have a way to deal directly with me through these boards. Tomorrow, I'll still make a phone call, no sweat really.. EB is a superb company and I have faith that they will take care of their customers.

thanks again.

Which GC did you buy from? I can confirm if they have actually ordered one.

I don't have any PO's in the system for that store. If you want to PM me the name of the sales person you dealt with, I can give them a call for you so they can get that part ordered. We always have those in stock and can get them out within a day of getting the purchase order. It is part number M05437 for the trem arm.

Nice to see things haven't changed. I bought an Axis from a GC 11 years ago and they couldn't find the bar for it either and sent me home with a bar from a different Floyd type setup that didn't really fit. They said they would order me a new one and would ship it to me. Well, I contacted EBMM customer service, new bar in the mail in not even a week. GC, weeks later.

Moral of the story, GC loses trem bars and EBMM customer service is top notch.

Well not suprising that it was not there or misplaced, it is part of the good and bad of GC allowing you freedom to test drive an axe!

First as always EBMM takes care of you, nice as usual, second I have had the same issue on a couple of guitars one EBMM one not, from GC with trems.

They remove them to keep the wankers and others from toatally abusing the guitar, smart move. If your serious about buying they will get the trem for you, well most of the time;)

Problem lies in their system of storing the removed trems, if they just put them back in the case would be no problems:)

Oh and congrats on the JP
