All this political correctness today really makes me want to vomit, if the word balls offends you you might as well lock your door and never step outside. What is next are we going to have ratings for guitar forums. To be honest there is a television commercial which I believe many have seen with a guy coming in saying how dirty his golf balls are and then they take the play on the word to the extreme, with two women cleaning them and the other one fondling them in her hands and saying how clean the balls are now,and then it ends with a guy holding up a bag of soccer balls and saying what about the dirty balls in his sack-and this is a TV Commercial.

Hey I have my morals in line but to keep it real I doubt if any 16 year old girl is going to find that offensive. For those who live in la la land maybe you should check in and see what movies, video games or music your kids are listening too and get a wake up call.

It also makes me wonder why you would post under 3 different names-there is a reason and I would like to know, as (YOU) must have something to hide. I am listed on about 20 forums and use the same one everywhere.

I have never seen a profound word said here and even the rare disagreements are said in a cordial manner, and on the rarest of occasions when something may spark beej or Sterling snuff it out immediately.Sorry but this is as G rated as you will find.

Last I heard, this forum isn't a democracy. Can't just come in trying to take over.

It's a great forum. There are a few people here though that like to make postings that are uncalled for. Some are out right disrespectful. I'll use ignore though.

If it's a great forum, then why were you quitting?

And if you feel disrespected, take it up with the person. Preferrably in a mature, adult fashion. That doesn't include threatening to have a mod ban someone. I'm pretty sure the mods know how to do their jobs and it would be best for all of us to let them do it instead of trying to do it for them.

It's their name, Sterling's dad's name, the company name, etc. I can't see anyone enjoying having their name thrown around like that, and at a minimum, they have to have heard them all before.

I'm a doc with my last name being Kok. How many times you think people asked me if I was a urologist . And that is with international symposia still to come . I'm just really glad my parents haven't named me Richard, that would have been double trouble going abroad

Well, here I am amongst the guitarists again. Not that bassists can't generate unwarranted drama, but hoo, you guys are SERIOUS about it.

I don't participate in the "my Balls" thing. Never have, never will, but yes, you can get stickers saying "Balls are Best" and so on. It's the last name of the family and I'm sure they've all heard every imaginable so-called "funny" take on it. (With a first name like Jack, I've heard them all, too. It's not funny after the 32567th time, trust me.)

That said, here is what I tell my 8 year old. "Man up, nancy, it's a hard old world out there and no one outside this house really cares about your feelings."

How about this. If you're offended by something, you can PM either me or Beej and point it out. If it really IS offensive, we can delete it and we all move on. Enough with the hysterics and drama in the forum.

And, if you'd like to QUIT THE FORUM, then take a cue from the Nike ads. No farewells, no fishing for someone to beg you to NOT do it, just remove the thing from your favorites and off you go to Harmony Central, mmmkay? I don't delete accounts by request, although I have deleted a few on my own intiative.
