I caught Elmer playing in Toronto last night. This guy has got to be seen live, huge energy with total musicality, even when he's shredding.
I really love the fact that his set has many different styles, jazz fusion, blues, funk...You're not bored with the same **** over and over. really versatile player and musician, he can sit in different bags with total conviction.
It was Silo until he broke a string, then he pulled out an Axis, EBMM all night.
Thanks to Scooby Steve for letting me know about the gig, wish you could've been there, dude! the Youtube stuff just never did this guy justice. One of his solos was so intense that i was literally listenning to it so hard, after it was over, I realized I didn't even know what's going on around me.
