Hi.. I just purchased a new Bongo 4 String from Island Music Company in MD

S/N F41507

I would like to know:
1. The DOB
2. Make sure this S/N is valid and is new and never been registered before(Note: I just registered it on your Web Site Yesterday under the name Rodney Phillips).
3. Verify that Island Music Company is a authorized MM dealer(They come up on your list of Dealers so I assume yes)

Thanks!

Rodney, welcome to the forum!
F41507 - DOB: 09/13/12. The bass is registered under your name only, and Island Music Co. is an authorized MM dealer.

Dear Jacob Rocha,

Would you be so kind to have a look into F23149? It's a Sterling HS. I bought it 2 years ago (used) and love it. Lots of sounds, great playability. But most impressive is the neck! This neck...awesome.

Hi
I've a Musicman Stingray V that I purchased as my first 'serious' bass when I was 18. I bought it used in Bournemouth in about 2001.
Serial number: E13738
Do you have a date of birth? Lovely red finish with pearl scratch plate.
Thanks
Pete

Hello!

I'd love to get any any and all information available on the EB MM Stingray 4 serial # E60690. Also, Music Man guys refer to these basses as either '4H' or '4HH'. Can I ask what that signifies?

Thanks!
Nick

Hey Nick,

Welcome to the fora.

The letters are about the pickups, from bridge to neck.
H= humbucker
S= single coil

A StingRay can be H, HH or HS (no SH, coz they'll never shut up anyway)
A Big Al could for example be SSS

best,
bert

Hey y'all!

I recently bought myself some nice new gear, I got myself TWO new Bongo's. Just wondering what date they were built, and while I'm at it, I'd like to have the details of my SR5, too.

The Bongo6 is a blue one, shop says it's a blue pearl one. But from the pics on the internet, blue pearl looks bright blue-ish to me, while this one is quite dark, with some greenish/purple shine, depending on the angle of light. But you can tell me which color it is, right?

The Bongo5 is tangerine pearl.

The serials are:
Bongo 6 HH F21592
Bongo 5 HH F40103
SR5 57838

Thanks!

Joep
