I got this guitar as a platform for serious hotrodding, and some of the mods will start today.
This is a "before" video. Going through various tones and pickup positions.
I will document mods to the trem, electronics and neck with photos over the next few weeks and then make an "after" video.
It's not quite an EBMM, but for $200 it is untouchable.

What type of mods are you going to perform? Pup replacement? Install a FR-style locking trem? Do tell :).

For this round:
New saddles, trem block, trem arm, bridge pickup, pots, switch. Also sand/oil/wax neck and roll fretboard.
Tuners, nut and single coils are all pretty OK, but they will all get changed at some point in the future.
Out the box the guitar plays so smoothly. One of my guitar students played it once and came back with his own the next week, and my drummer is picking one up to mess around with.

these guitars are seriously the best playing guitars sub 200 in my opinion and would rival most guitars twice the price point. its a solid first guitar or even a solid backup which i'm thinking about doing because they're incredible.

Totally agree, you can leave your 20th Anni safely at home ;)

Great thread! Thanks for sharing the mods. Will you be taking pictures?

One thing that would be very cool: Could you document this with pictures, as well as listing all the components (with part numbers if possible) so that others that might be interested could take advantage of your doing this with ease?

Hey Brian, this is exactly what I'm going to do.
