I purchased it used and it is in pristine condition, doesn't seem to have been played... but no sound - nothing ... of course I replaced the battery... still nothing... took off the control plate... played with the trim pots and still nothing... are these guitars prone to any electronic issues??

Of course I am a/b it with another guitar that is working, I can't get any signal to happen

Any suggestions before I take it to the repair guy??

Wow, this sounds strange...

But can´t think of anything besides simple stuff as a bad cable / bad amp...

Hope it ain´t nothing serious...I think this is the first post stating this issue...

Did you buy this from a dealer/shop? Private party purchase, if you purchased from Ebay, I would try to work it out w/ who you puchased from, and if they don't work with you, open a claim on them. The buyer has way more rights than the seller..........If you purchased from a shop, I would contact them first, any guitar purchased from an authorized dealer should arrive in working condition unless it was advertised otherwise.

Second, I would contact EBMM customer service if whoever you bought it from doesn't assist in making it right. I don't own a L3, battery would be my first guess,...you did replace the battery with a new 9V, correct? That is odd, was it a deal too good to be true or something? Need a little more info,....

The good sergeant is correct!

If you bought it from a store, go back to them first. Failing that call customer service. It's probably an issue that any good guitar tech should be able to fix but do contact customer service first.

it's a new guitar for you so we need pics :)

As for the non working electronics, please follow the other advice if you can't make a diagnostic yourself. The battery is not the issue as the LIII electronic is passive. may I suggest you to try with another cable also :)

it wound up being a loose wire attached the the volume pot... it was very hard to see that it was no longer actually attached... quick solder, problem fixed!!

really love this guitar... can't say enough how much I dig the boost, neck, playability/action, trem and the way it feels

Glad to hear you`ve fixed it-mine is still on the way from US,but hopefully it won`t be broken on the arrival :)!
So,now it`s time to post some pictures - rule nr.1 here is " no pics ,no guitar " :)

Wow! Really? Even when not activated? can you estimate battery life expectation?

if the push pull pot is out of order (always engaged ) one month
if all is good i've mine since a too short time to said (6 month) but i don't use boost i'm so afraid to broken it

;)
