Is the neck on Luke 2 and Luke 3 the same ?

Hi all,

First post here, and new user

i am gassing for a Luke - I have just tried a Luke 3 in a local shop - great guitar BUT i haven't got the money for it

But i DO have the money for a used Luke 2 - But it will be a buy without trying it first because of the long distance between me and seller.

So....... is the neck the same ?

Other than my Luke III having a rosewood neck, it feels the same to me as the two Luke 2's I had. There are always slight differences in the neck due to the hand sanding done after the CNC carve but EBMM is very consistent. I wouldn't hesitate jumping on that guitar if you like the Luke III...

Well, Some are saying it's the same and others say it feels different.

Post #14 of that thread is the official answer (via Brian Ball). The necks are the same. Some may feel different to other because of the hand finishing (and the different neck wood can add to some of that feeling).

the Luke II is an amazing guitar, I doubt very much that you would be disappointed with it, if u like the iii you'll like the ii

All my Axis guitars feel a little different. I am sure that the Luke necks all feel a little different too.
