Can you swap necks between a Luke and a Silhouette Special?

I was thinking of putting my Silhouette Special neck on my Luke since I prefer the profile. Does anyone know if it's a simple swap or will the necks not fit? Anyone try something like this before?

No. Different widths at the end of the neck. The Luke neck is slightly narrower at the last fret. Silhouette Special neck won't fit. The specs are available on each guitar's page at music-man.com.

I can´t answer your particular question, but i remember from some older threads that Luke and Axis are changeable. and i think they are the only one that fit each other

Yep. Some time ago I had the Neck from my 1997 Axis on my 1997 Luke I which worked great. I just went back to the original configuration because I needed the real Axis-Sound...
But now I've a another Axis on the way - so I'll "pimp" my Luke with an Axis neck again

Thanks guys! It's good to know that the Axis neck will work with the Luke. I will totally it try out. I just wish I could try the Silhouette Special to compare as well. Thanks so much for the help! Can't wait to try my new "Luke-xis"!
