G38661 - DOB: 01/31/08, Carbon Blue Pearl JP6 w/ shield inlays. The most noticeable visible difference is the scooped arm contour on the top of the body, in comparison to the rolling contour on the JPX/ JPXI/ JP12/ JP13/ BFR JP.

nick, it's not possible to tell if a guitar has SS frets by the serial # alone, without checking our database. Stainless steel frets were implemented on all JP models built from the later half of March 2012 onward.

G47589 - DOB: 03/03/10, flame trans black Reflex, chambered basswood body w/ mahogany tone black and maple top, maple neck/ rosewood fretboard.
This instrument looks like a limited run done for Guitar Center, which is why it has the "cutom made" neck plate. Sorry, we don't release production numbers.
