hi BP, the EBMM-Crew and you Knuckelheads,

can anybody tell me which aftermarket PUP is close to the original AL HH bridge PUP?

played an AL HH a few weeks ago and loved the low-end the bridge PUP delivered.
so i´m thinking about putting one very close to this into my PDN Y2D.

thanks for your help!

Well, in FAQ on the DiMarzio site when you look for EVH pickups you can read as follows :

These pickups were only available as original equipment on the EVH MusicMan guitar. MusicMan replaced the Van Halen guitar with a very similar model called the Axis, which uses the same pickups. The closest-sounding pickups we offer are the Air Norton for the neck position and the Tone Zone® for the bridge position.

like "look at her" i thought it was the TZ as the closest sounding PU not the AT-1.
maybe they changed their minds a bit?

Wow, strange, my description comes from December 2013- I had my Axis then and gathered the info about the pickups.
Sorry,Kev, they have changed their minds a bit :)

I had a Tone Zone in my Silo... amd removed it, because it was a little bit over the edge for my taste. I like the bridge pickups in my ASS and ALL HH, though. So these are most probably not near the TZ but more the othere one (which I don't know).
