Music Man JP6 Stealth Black G45365

When did stainless steel frets become standard on all JP models?

This JP was completed on May 18th, 2009. Any JP that was ordered at NAMM 2013 or later would have stainless steel frets. With that said, in terms of production, there isn't a definite cut off. May 2013 and beyond should have stainless steel frets though, as a general rule of thumb.

MM Stingray fretless in 3tsb, E45389. DOB?, Alnico or ceramic pup? Thanks!

March 24th, 2005. All Stingray 4 basses have Alnico pickups, always.

Music Man JP7 - F28141 - tangerine pearl, I just bought it used but the pervious owner wasn't sure what year it was. Thanks!

Howdy, I have a SR4 Classic with B052885 on the bridge. Is there any place to get additional info other than just build date? I emailed EB customer service, but they don't have any record of the bass.

Thanks so much! -Rae

Hi, I bought a Sting ray 4 string with 1 humbucking pickup last week. The serial number is 31587 and it seems to be an orange color with a rosewood fretboard, a four bolt neck. Any information about this bass would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
Edward

This bass was completed on July 25th, 1990. The color is now called "Honeyburst" but we labeled it "Sunburst" then.

Turns out I can't actually type, and keyed in the wrong serial number. Should have been serial number 39051. AJ - any chance at a redo using the correct serial?

Would have been cool if my Stingray started out in the UK, ut I'm guessing that isn't the case.

Hi, I recently picked up a red (I believe it's candy red) Stingray 4, E07537. Could you also give info on woods, besides the DOB? Actually, every piece of info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
P.S. This bass is amazing.

Hello Folks,

So I am curious about Serial Number :: B055237

It's a 5 string in Off White with a Maple neck in Birdseye.
Egg pick guard in tortoise shell red. One pickup.
Serial number and "Music Man" on the bridge.
Is it a Classic SR5 or just an SR5? The Birdseye and the
"B" in the serial makes me think it is a Classic but it's
case reads Stingray 5.? Thanks folks...
---

EDIT -
Ok well the seller and I have hammered out what we believe to be correct. He wasn't the original owner. It is a Classic 5 from sometime between 2005 and 2010. It's heavy, 9.5 lbs., so the body must be Ash and the neck radius is 7.5". That with the neck being Birdseye sets us strait I think.

This is my first StingRay so pardon my ignorance. I have always wanted one. Been a true blue Fender guy for the most part. Now I just need to contact support and find out if I can get the foam pads for the bridge north of the barrels and find out exactly what the "thumb screws" on the bridge do. Hey, I said, pardon my ignorance. I am very surprised that Music Man doesn't have "Manuals" for their basses. Yes I have read through the FAQ on the site but I think that most of that could be summed up in one PDF file as a Manual. And going to the "Store" link all I see to buy is one bass. Odd. What if a guy needs a bridge? Or the foam pads? Perhaps I don't need the foam pads, I don't know. In regards to the great reputation and following that Music Man has, I think their web site should fit the bill.

Regardless I would still like to know the DOB. And thanks folks. Anyhow... a picture ::
Oh well I guess I can't put a full size picture here. So here is the URL ::
