Ok maybe not so new, 1998! Pre-silent circuit, quite worn in. Has seen a few gigs. Took it home, had my way with it and re-wired it to my liking.

Dimarzio area '58 in the neck with a duncan hot rails in the bridge, single volume, 3 way and a killswitch!!

She's all ready to go now! Look at that awesome birdseye maple neck!!!!!!

Lovin it!

How do you like the hot rail on the bridge? Tell me more! :)

Thanks mystixboi1!

Gas Hed,
It took me quite a while to decide on a bridge pickup. I know for the neck all I wanted was a noiseless single coil of some sort that was still sort of 'vintage-fender', my local store didn't have any of the fender noiseless in stock, nor did I want to wait and order one so I just went with it. It was either that or a duncan Hot stack for the neck which I thought would've been too hot, and probably voice too much like a humbucker.

As for the hot rails, I know I would never have or play a guitar with a single coil in the bridge, no matter how good it sounds. It's just not versatile enough. I was afraid the hot rails might've been too hot, and maybe too trebly, but so far I'm quite impressed with it, not only is it just hot enough to still clean up with the volume rolled down (note, i did do a treble bleed mod), but it's got quite a lot of mids, so it's super thick and chunky! Which suits me just fine!

But not to the point where it's too muddy like an invader, the last hot bridge pickup I've had before where the low mids were just so overly emphasized it was tough to hear all the notes in a chord.

I think what helps is keeping the pickup heights quite low. Both of them are a bit lower than the stock albert lee pickups. Which reminds me, I have no use for them now, does anybody want the stock Albert lee pickups/switch/tone/volume??? ;)

I might me interested in the pickups, depends on where you are located and if shipping makes sense. I´m in Germany. Are you European? :)

Sweet! I want to find one of these. I have no use for the silent circuit and would rather there not be a battery compartment routed into the back. I like the color on yours!

thanks guys!

By the way, do any of you know where I can something like....I'm not sure how to explain this, maybe something to just cover the middle pickup hole?? By not putting a pickup in it. Just a cover of some sort??

I don't totally fancy it being empty, but don't have use for a middle pickup either.
