Very happy. It was cool today, so I'm letting her acclimate to the temperature before tuning/playing, but damn . . beautiful guitar. The iphone camera does not do it justice.

And since my AL didn't get a NGD, here is old NGD for AL. Love this guitar.

For sure. Birdseye not that great, but that's not something I care much about. Just played for a little bit and it is superb. Like others have mentioned, it is projects almost like an acoustic without being plugged in. Surprised at how much and how clearly. You don't need a practice amp, unless you want the distortion.

Way to step in & kick the crap out of everyone! Lol. Those guitars are stunning. I had a semi hollow BCB Semi hollow ASS for a short time. Incredible guitar, just couldn't bond with the rosewood board. That one of yours is exactly what I wanted. Congrats.

Thanks. Very happy with both--and GC. Was planning to buy an ASS semi at some point, but got a deal I could not pass up. And I almost got as much for my Silo as I paid for it.

I never bonded with the Silo. Loved the weight and size, but it never felt like the right guitar. Had an Axis a couple of years ago (GC return) and didn't have much ps a chance to play it because it arrived with the Floyd cranked all the way down into the body and it looked like there might be some damage. Threw it back in the box same day. My initial impression was that the Axis didn't feel right. Glad I picked up a couple of more along the way to noodle, because this Semi feels great. In love with this guitar already.

That's a great guitar!

Am I right in assuming the pickups are the standard custom wound dimarzios used in the Axis, etc?

Re Pick Ups, I have a solid Axis and a semi and am sure the PUPS are the same, but guitars sound quite different.
