Congrats Oz on landing another beauty of an EVH sig, as they are becoming much harder to come by every year. Also a big shout out to my man "Rich" (Islandboy) to whom I go back with when I was a computer noob and a bunch of us were all looking for EVH sigs lol.If anyone would know a shop who does great work on an EVH you can take Rich's advice to the bank! Wow, I think the last guitar I bought on Ebay was 6 years ago lol, though I do check out what is up every now and then. They did a beautiful job on it=Enjoy!

Thanks bro. Rich hit a bullseye when he discovered Pat Wilkins. Pat is not only a superb custom guitar finisher, but a true gentleman. Can't wait to see it "in person".

It looks great! However the neck angle seems a little odd to me - maybe someone put an extra shim in the neck pocket, so the floyd could be floating? The neck angle is definitely bigger than on my Axis, and it looks like the Floyd has been raised, but is slanted backwards, so it stills touches the top of the body.

Great eye!! Thanks for catching it. I probably would have caught that once I have it in my hands. It's double shimmed. I'm trying to have it fixed as we speak. Thanks again.

Since you mentioned 1994 earthquake and California, I would assume it was the Northridge earthquake. I remember that one quite well. I was very near the Northridge mall, and had fallen asleep on the couch. Woke up, power hadn't gone out yet, and the street light coming in through the window was a blur. The shaking was so bad, I couldn't get my 16 year old 150lb self out of the couch. I just would get tossed back into it. Rode it out right there.

My cousin went to a local GC a few days later. They told him every single hanging guitar was on the floor when they came in. Nearly the entire store went on rock bottom blowout clearance sale with varying degrees of damage on almost everything. He picked up a high end Jackson RR with a not too bad ding on it.

Nice find there. Looking forward to pics of it post-repair.

That's the earthquake. Not sure if the guy I bought it from already owned it, or bought it from GC. Very interesting.

No problem! I've just looked at my own Axis so many times, that I couldn't help but notice something was off.

I'm glad to help :)

Ok, I'm getting tired of congratulating you on your new guitars. You're like the family that keeps on having babies. At some point, it goes from "congratulations!" to "Jeez, another one?" You, my friend, have hit that point. :)

Nice find! After the refinish, it's like getting a brand new EVH. Sorry to see you having to trade a bunch of guitars for it but I understand. My daughter starts college this fall and my wife told me "no more guitars!"
