Looks cool but I'm not giving with the purple pickup covers. How about black pickup covers?

Either way , can't wait until this is done

The purple actually is really really nice in person. The coloring on the photo gives it more of a brighter purple than it really is.

Well.................. productive day. Weather is crap, so I have to paint at MIDNIGHT :-/. "Liquid glass" aka "liquid cancer" or "liquid death" applied. Glad I dont have to do this every day... Just a teaser for now.

WOW!!
What Brand/Product did you use for this?
Is that a Resin that you pour on the Surface or is it applied with a Paint Gun?

I use PPG high solids catalyzed urethane. Very nasty stuff, but its very gorgeous.

Good looking couple here...

So... lets call it an unfortunate circumstance involving a rag with acetone on it. Not my fault... the plaintiff has plea bargained and we'll call it even for a bit... but I'll take tragedy to opportunity.

Kev wanted a recessed neck plate... and I told him no, it was too risky. Seeing as I was going back to square one, I grew a pair of ernie balls and hand routed the neck plate in as he wanted it done. Came out pretty well, and he seemed really excited to have it done. I dont really notice a huge difference, but Im glad he's excited for it.

"grew a pair of Ernie Balls" - cracking me up here!

Yeah, I like the recessed neck plate - just another subtle "smoothness" to the earlier models that I appreciate - and given the opportunity I'm thrilled it's on this guitar now - thanks! :)

First round of clear coats finished today. Tomorrow I will block sand the finish, do another coat or two, then she will be ready to cut and buff and then assemble!
