Wow, that is a fraction of what those were selling for new. I'm not a five string player and have too many basses already, but somebody should grab that. It's gorgeous and very rare.

those were limited to 10 basses with serialnumber from the 10 first produced bridges

5 of the h variety and 5 of the hh

the only thing more exclusive than that would be the blackburst (tony levin). i think they just made 2.
one for tony and one that was auctioned away for charity.
damn lucky swede that got the winning bid on that bass.. :)

for 2200$ it is a bargain!!!

Me too - I even emailed them. Still tempted by a 30th Anniversary 4 string and 88 sunburst Sabre on Basschat - and a pre EB - all the good stuff appears a month before Christmas it seems

The 30th 4-string, you should definitely buy. Best Stingray I've ever played, and probably a good bit cheaper than the 20th Anniversary fiver.

I was poking around on Guitar Center's site and it looks like this bass is for sale there again at the same price it was before. The link in the original post still works.

My Holy Grail MM basses are the plateless, flamed top trans black SR5 that was auctioned for charity or a SR5 in Mt Dew. I'll never see either of those.
