Volume swells

Hi everyone.
First post . I've recently treated myself to lovely bfr jp6. Beautifully guitar and I'm new to musicman.
I've been playing music for many years, although I'm quite new to guitar and want to explore various guitar techniques etc.

I've stumbled on a slight issue. Want to practice guitar volume swells, but can't reach the pot. I also have a nice jap strat, and I'm finding I have to swap instruments just to practice my swells. I want the jp6 to be my "do it all instrument".

Question, has anyone swapped the volume pot for the pickup selector, I think I should be able to reach it if this can be done.

I don't want the mod to be obvious (hoping the holes are similar diameter) and I'd possibly like the mod to be reversible without permanent damage to the instrument.

Thanks, I have one but it would be so much cooler doing it from the instrument.

After looking at some online images, it's pretty tight in there. The pickup selector has a little board, which I don't think is going to squeeze in the volume pots location.?

Don't mess with that guitar. Seriously, the volume pedal is the way to go. It gives you consistency of touch regardless of the guitar. You can swell single notes, chords, harmonics and all whilst using the trem if the fancy takes you. Plus if you use the volume control on the guitar to control your sound (and volume), volume swells using the guitar volume are pretty tricky if you're only coming back up to 6/7/8 etc. YMMV!

You can mod the guitar if you want to, but I'll bet ya 50 cents you'll end up returning it back to stock and be kicking yourself for wasting time and possibly damaging the guitar.

If you gotta do your swells with the volume knob, learn how to do it right.
For example, jump to about the 3 minute mark on this video....

Yeah - I am with the others - I would mod the guitar - the pedal is the way to go.

Btw, here she is, the guitar is immaculate, so it would be a sin to mess with it.
Maybe I'll search for a musicman to add to my guitars with a strat type volume layout.
