I got an interesting email from Bass Central about this, but the attached file was pretty low resolution. Can someone official post some pretty pictures and info for the Knuckleheads, please?

Agree the e-mail attachment from Bass Central is tough to read. But could make out that matching head stock was optional for upcharge.

Glad new colors will be available through the PDN offerings. Makes up for the cut back of the colors for the standard basses.

Would love to order one, but just bought a Dargie Delight II SR5 with piezo that I am waiting to be delivered. Maybe next time around for ordering a PDN.

I think Starry Night and the Honeyburst from a few years ago are the best PDNs ever.

I'd order one, but I absolutely don't dig the fretsound of the stainless steel frets. My otherwise perfect honey roasted Bongo had to leave just because of this.

But the color is gorgeous. Sooo good, and the roasted neck looks so superb on it.

Seems you need to order a fretless! :)

Just curious, do you know what the normal frets are? How is the sound different? Assume you tried different strings?

Thanks

That is an awesome looking finish. And I am really interested in a new Caprice.

Is the Starry Night PDN finish available on a Caprice?

A 4HH could be in my future... waiting on a price from my dealer for a Bongo 4HH with matching headstock.

Is unlined fretless an option for these?

Thanks

Yes it is. I spoke with Bass Central via email about ordering a SR5H with an unlined fretless board. They got back to me with a price. I just have to put down the deposit.

Nice. Hopefully can do the 2 year financing at sweetwater for this. If so, I see an HS fretless in my future. Leaning to a stingray, but.. not considering the difference in neck, anyone have an opinion on what would the advantage, disadvantage sound wise for getting a sterling?
