I'm not posting to initaite an arguement so lets just discuss.

Fine, discussions go two ways with each side providing relative information toward a common goal.

I sincerely hope your income justifies owning all of those.

Apparently it does so your hopes have been realized. So we can move to the next topic, or stop here should you so decide.

The majority of people would be happy to afford for one of those while still balancing their other expenses.

Be careful with over simplifications. Globally, the majority of people would be happy to afford something to eat. A single JP7 would also be considered a luxury.

Now I really appreciate those of you on here who have worked endless hours and overtime shifts to be able to start a small collection...that's great!!

Have you no appreciation for hard working professionals, entrepreneurs, lotto winners. At what tax bracket does your appreciation for humanity ceiling out?

The net investment must be bordering $100,000.00 - which is more than the cost of a house - and while the majority of people in the US are struggling to pay increasing mortgages, those 43 guitars are gathering dust.

Again, you're speaking for the majority, which majority? Have you issues with anyone among the minority either in this or any circumstance? What about the individual? The majority of people don't even know this site exists. The majority of people who frequent this site are EBMM enthusiasts and owners. As Beej referenced do your homework and see who a majority of the regular contributors here are before you speak for them.

I won't even get into your overinflated estimate of his investment relative to housing costs in the US.

Come on Ernie - I think everyone wants to know what you do for a living to be able to afford this habit.

Ernie has joined your discussion, responded and has requested you provide similar information. Will you make that information available?

And please no more blah blah message board replies - are people not capable of a healthy discussion?
And for everyone who is going to reply 'OMG THAT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS' please don't already - it's just so cliché!:)

The only cliche' I've seen is a cyberspace attack on an individual and his family initially based in jealousy, fueled by ignorance of your subject and demanding irrelevant information while hiding behind anonymity. And then asking that no one else respond in kind.

Hey Sammy,

I've been on this forum a very long time, do a search and you'll find out what I do for a living. I'm not a guy who really talks about his personal life on an open forum, but I did once state what I "do" for a living.

You know what, I'll save you the trouble and re-state it. I is a equity trader. That means I trade stocks, not one of those guys who dabbles on E-trade, but a professional trader with licenses and all that jazz.

No I don't have a mortgage, in fact, I owe nuthin' to nobody.

Do I now get a "pass" from you? Can I keep my collection, or do I have to liquidate it and distribute the proceeds amongst the forum members. Or maybe I should send everyone here a Petrucci.

Okay, now, what do you do for a living, do you have a mortgage, how much do you owe on credit cards, do you have a big screen t.v., do you buy extra fancy olives, of just plain fancy olives?

Oh, and just for the record, why do you give a bleep about me, my stuff, and what I do?

Hey Erniekins,

Good for you for voicing your profession, so let me answer your questions.

I work for Citi, so I'm sure you're aware of our current situation. you've probably been selling a lot of us recently.

Debt - Yep
Mortgage - Yep
Big TV - No
And you know what, I've never like olives.

And no, no pass for you.

Although I'm going to stop here because it seems that this "forum" is so one sided that it's about to tilt over. While I'm sure a passion for music is present, surpassing that appears to be a passion for personal possesions.
Everone has missed the point as their focus is firmly their next aquisition.
It's been said you're not hurting anyone, ok, but you're sure not helping anyone either. Just pretty much accumlating more upon more flight cases filled with sparkly painted wood.

All the best to you Ernie my man, here's a toast to your 100th Petrucci.

Now Sammy has studied the cases pattern and determined that Ernie does nothing for others. THis is after proclaiming that he is not good to his wife.

We are all one sided because we dont agree that someones first posts should be attacking someones desire to collect what they choose.

I happen to know a chaity dear to my heart that Ernie has donated to..and Im sure that his philanthrophy make Little Sammy look as small as he sounds here.

Hey someone put him out of his misery.

I'm listening to LTE's 'When the Water Breaks"

The intro reminds me of this Sam character.

Grow up.

I bought my very first Axis (orange one) from Ernie in September...He must have transferred his "disease"in the case....I have 4 of them now....in just 2 months!
I'm unemployed, broke, and me, my wife and four kids are hungry. But, I took out a third mortgage on my mobile home so I could buy these geetars....
It's called PRIORITIES, my friends....

Okay Sammy, now you have irked me. Do you know how much I give to kid's and soldier's charities every year? Take your self-righteous working-man bull**** and shove it. I help more people than you can ever dream of. I really hope you are under 20 years old, 'cause any older than that means you have some serious problems. Kids can be excused of such behavior and thought, men can't.

You gotta realize that if this guy works for Citigroup in any real capacity, he has seen his matching retirement account dwindle over the last year. Citigroup has gone from the mid 50's to the low 30's in the last year. Plus, there has been talks of major layoffs. He should thank goodness that C got a 7.5 billion dollar injection of capital from Dubai, it actually might save his ass from the chopping block.

I got some advice for him, buy low, sell high.

See what happens when you DON'T post things about your personal life on the internet? Someone comes along and tells you that you are doing it all wrong.

Anyways, I'm glad to have Ernie as a friend, and I'm glad to have been able to help feed his GAS.
