The forum has changed over the years, mostly due to corporate necessity. Once, we were a tiny little dark corner of the intertubes, everyone kind of knew everyone else, and sometimes we even met up in real life for drinks and basses and EBMM swag.

There are rumors that we even went to SLO and toured the factory and had some concerts and jammed together and I think at some point there was a costume party and then a big fiesta at a yacht club in the middle of the desert. Could any of that be true?

So if you're relatively new here, well, welcome aboard. Hope you find it instructive. But also understand that there are still a few of us around, we old grizzled veterans, and we remember when we had lots of off-topic fun and games and pterodactyls blackened the skies over San Luis Obispo.

My advice, and it is only that, and you get what you pay for, is that if you come upon a thread or a subject that holds no interest for you, do what I do: walk on by.

I totally agree with you Jack on what you said. I am still on this great forum but not as much as I use to
I still have all the swag we got from the open weekend at SLO I can't believe that was in 2007 if my memory doesn't fail me.

I remember those times in my distant imagination. :D

But you have to hand it to Karl. He did find an interesting way to liven up this thread.

Why thank you , Jack . I still keep the Ray beside the couch and still do most of my practise on it . I still pick it up and feel the marvel . It is a beautiful thing . Just a regular old three band , but Herself gave it to me when I turned 50 . And that was a while back ...

18 large, that's awesome. I've wandered in and out over the years, and it's always great to see that you and some others I recognize are still active here. It's a great forum, and that - in no small part - requires great moderation. I've always admired how you handle the occasional drama that comes up, courtesy of the miserable lot who thrive on it. And I remember numerous questions you've responded to in a very helpful, informative way. Congrats and thanks!

Thanks, man. For the most part, it's been nothing but a pleasure. I've certainly gotten more out of it than I could ever dream of putting in.
