Very cool,unique piece!
Awesome ,and thanx for that ....and Slav123 its not a custom so your good hahahhaaa..... Dudley is the Designer of that and many other Guitars not just EBMM either...he used to be with Valley Arts .... ...and is truly an EBMM not a custom built by someone OTHER than the EBMM crew......It says AXIS on it because thats what is was called before it was the AL...Very cool/different appointments for sure!! ...and very different from the AL we have today ...i too am interested to see if the neck carve changed from the original to what ALbert wanted ...or maybe it was perfect just the way it was .....Thanx Elroy ....i would still Love to see the rest of your Customs!!!
There is a great pic of EVH, AL and Morse on the cover of Guitar World from around 91/92 where AL has the pinkburst with the "Axis" logo on it.
There's also a shot of EVH holding an early version of his sig model with the Axis name on the headstock.
Great post Elroy, any pics of Reeves hardtail?i edited my post to include the info, spud.
it was made by Dudley Gimpel for Reeves Gabrels, Reeves already had a hardtail 'axis' and wanted one with a tremolo.

Thanks Colin and BP, great ! Seen the Reflex before on some "Open House"-pics. Isn´t it rather similar to the Silo Spec that came in the mid 90s?The Reflex

I remember not long after joining this forum, an AL appeared on EBay which had a set neck, a hardtail in black and OMG it was absolutely stunning - another example if my recollection serves me right of a proto AL that ended up on the market.
