Well, it has finally arrived.

NorM.....you will remember the past year for the rest of your life. I wish I could have seen the look on your face....I know for quite a while now you have been asking, begging, and pleading for a 20th Anniv. Silo......here it is.

That is one stunning piece of work. Just like the Y2D. What a nice axe......man, I am at a loss for words.....

EBMM....you guys are not fair with all this great stuff you are putting out. I can't keep up.....let's see.....second mortgage on the house....get rid of wife.....sell the cars......get new guitars........Just pondering my options....hehehehehe....

EBMM....great work....yet again....you guys ROCK!

Love:

The pickup covers.
The color.
The "drop top"
The matching 'stock

Hate:

The pickup rings
The knobs
The 3-way switch.

(Edit: that was too harsh.)

Dang....I really wanted to LOVE this one, but I just can't dig those rings...

Looks to me like you've got a hopped up LP killer with a twist - count me in for several on Friday, sorry I can't make the show this time around but I will be at Austin.

I feel honored that my post was quoted by the big cheese!

Cut me a little slack, I've personally contributed to the Big Poppa Titleist fund to the tune of two EVH's, an Axis, an AL, and a SilSp. Not to mention 20+ years worth of strings... :D

Sorry if I'm reading too much into your post, but not liking the aesthetics of a pickup ring does not equal closedmindedness!

Pete, I could not make the NAMM this time....but I plan on going to Austin. I have family there as well and this will kill two birds with one stone for me. Let me know if that is a definite for you. I would love to see you down there!

This Silo is one awesome piece of work. As usual, not everyone will fall in love with it. I have other delimna's (sp?) at the moment.....my bass GAS is bad, I just have to figure out what I want.

nothin but love....We offer tons of choices because there has yet to be an instrument that pleased everyone.

The on ly other caution is sometimes with humans change is shocking upsetting.
there have been many times that I liked the older body style of a car only to end up liking the new one after time. lets see...nothin to lose

.....damn, I think I love it all.

This is a classy follow-up to the y2d. My hat of to everyone at EBMM. If this guitar sound as good as it looks, it will be a killer. BP is right in that you can't make a guitar that pleases everyone. We have to judge this instrument for what it is, not what you would like it to be. Personally, I think it looks like a work of art.

Gorgeous! Really a work of art. I love the radiused edge like the Morse - really well done!

Koogs- what are you looking for? Another bass or gear to go with it?

Satisfied Customer Poll - Everyone here is pleased with their EBMM choice? Right? (I can spin anything)

I know I am. I will only go elsewhere from now on to buy acoustics. (saving for a Taylor 914ce) I also have friends (the blessed ones that've been allowed to touch my JP6) that don't own an EBMM guitar yet that'd be very pleased to trade in their F*nd*rs & G*bs*ns for one :D

Nice work guys!

Actually, I am looking at 2 more bongos. One with a single Humbucker and one with SH. I just haven't decided on which color yet. I am really leaning towards the Stealth as one choice, but the other is up in the air.

Sorry to all about going OT......

Yes, that Silo is gorgeous!.....

Koogs, you're outta control! (I might be downsizing the bass rig ... think I might sell the natty SR4).

Back on topic ... Poppa- I hope you guys make this colour available in the future- it's drop dead gorgeous.

This is my new favorite color for transparent finishes. When I was finishing hardwood floors for a living it was a color close to this that I liked because it showed the contrast in the wood higher than any other color. It only improved on what nature did and that's tough. The functionality of the pup rings will make them even more beautiful. Dudley is awesome!

Drew (DaMan)
I love how you stated that "dirty or clean these things are tone machines". LOVE IT! I think you just wrote the advertising slogan for these guitars. I still think of silos as a"My guitar can do more than your guitar" guitar.
Versatility! Thy name is Silhouette!

Koogs,
Yes you are right on so many levels. This is exactly what I am living for. I am feeling love from the EBMM family even if they don't claim me as part of it. Also I NEED another Bongo too. I like the HH 5 but lined fretless for me please. MWAH HA HA HA! I'm trying to find the post where I trashed the idea of the SUB because I wanted something better. Since I now own a SUB (and it plays a very important role in my arsenal) and all this is happening, I want to eat what ever crow is on my plate and use it to sing EBMM's praises. You and I know that I was the first person on this forum to suggest (suggest = whine and b!tch) the 20th anniv Silo. So I don't care what anybody says. For me this is the NorM artist model.

Foggy,
I have always encouraged you to get the guitar you want and not settle for anything less. Well sir, this is the guitar you want. I think yours and mine will be identical. Tomorrow morning contact your EBMM dealer and make them call Ernie Ball and place your order. Give them some money and have the rest ready on delivery.

BP
A pound of love for you. And two for everyone at the factory. I got a call yesterday saying that a silo I ordered was finished yesterday. Uh, OK, So my "Old Gray" silo was completed on the same day that the 20th anniv NAMM show pieces were shown. Was yesterday titled "Let's complete the cool guitars that NorM loves day"? What a great entry that must have made in your journal. I would like to think that this means my "old gray" silo will be something special but I know that's not true. It's the logo on the head stock that makes it special. Again I am really looking forward to receiving my CUSTOM guitar.
