This is my new favorite color for transparent finishes. When I was finishing hardwood floors for a living it was a color close to this that I liked because it showed the contrast in the wood higher than any other color. It only improved on what nature did and that's tough

Norm,

You are totally correct, that is a delicious transparent finish. Hopefully, it will make it's way onto the color selections chart in the future :D :D

more questions!

is the maple top going to come in the choice of flame or quilt?

is the honey finish going to be the only "colour" offered?
ie: would there be a trans black? trans purple? or dark trans blue? etc...

I am very curious about those pickups! They're monsters I am sure. I am guessing that without the middle pickup, there won't be any quack??

Hey Foggy,

If it had a picture of the Aflac duck between the pickups, would ya buy it?

Is *this* the one that will make you pull the trigger?!?!?! Tired minds gotta know...

The more I look at it the more I like it. I never fancied covered pickups until now and I'm really digging the pickup rings. Excellent work fellas.

To make up for the lack of quack all purchases include a new Ernie Ball Wah pedal.:D

Covered pickups are funny things. If the covers are metal, they induce eddy currents and can actually take some of the high end of the pickups. (You see a lot of guys removing the covers off their old covered PUs to brighten them up a bit.)

I am so drooling...

And seriously considering running down to my dealer to order one. But he's probably at NAMM!

More questions:

1) Will a piezo option be available?

2) Is the back of the body that dark brown color (as shown in the pics) regardless of the color of the top (assuming the top is available in different colors)?

3) What kind of strings does it come with?
(EDIT: 9s? 10s? RPS?)

I love that this guitar, while definitely a Silhouette in form, looks so different from anything else that EBMM makes. Definitely a lot of thought behind this beauty. I'm another one who can't stop looking at it.. and that finish is just sublime.
