Foggy -
If you show up at the bash on the 18th, I will GIVE you a SUB1 guitar just so you can stop posting about "someday somehow someway". You will first have to PM me your real name and then show up here on the 18th with photo ID. The gauntlet has been thrown down!

Wow. I'm seriously impressed. That is an act of amazing generousity, plus it will create much more room on the forum since he'll be playing guitar. :D

Just kidding Fogman.

I took a bunch of 4.0 megapixel pics, and just transferred them onto the computer - they are ALL too dark to use, so it means another photoshoot tomorrow with a big light cannon assembly :D

Dude, Pete is making an incredibly generous offer and you would have a blast.

Drive to Detroit. Expedia has direct flights on NW for CAD$331 to Hartford leaving 17th, returning 18th. (I'm sure you could beat that with a US budget airline.)

I'm staying over that night. You can crash in my hotel room for whatever the additional cost is ($10 or whatever).

Total cost- cheap airfare plus a few bucks. Certainly less than the cost of a new sub, and the comradery will be pricess.

Generous is a huge understatement!!!!!! I still don't know what to say.

Trust me when I say I'm still thinking about the whole concept and how I could make it work. Cost is only a partial factor. Time and time of year if an even bigger one. I'm working like crazy at the moment. I don't know how I'd schedule it in.

I'd absolutely love the comradery!!! I don't need to be given a guitar to want to go. I was really disappointed in not being able to go to the Open House as it is. The last couple of years have been absolutely insane for me. If the Open House was in 2006, I'd-a-been there!
Oh well. We'll see what happens.

Quite possibly the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen :)

Until they make a JP7 with a quilt top ;)

I'm sorry, but I have to deny that request. That's the best way I know to get him worked up.... Don't show him the backs of the necks at all :D

Right you are, Pete! lol

Wow, looks like water. Very nice, gotta say it the thing looks awesome.

I gotta say that the original Morse never really did anything for me, but the Y2D does!!

I like the original Morse in black and black only. It's a very traditional "strat" looking guitar. Just the way Steve wanted it.
The Y2D is just a step above!!! Well maybe a few steps!
I just had the local dealer get me a CDN price on them. They are exciting to look at no doubt! :)

I'll bet that was scary, CDN prices usually are for MM guitars. Out of curiosity, can you PM me the details, what dealer/how much?

Not that bad actually. Cheaper than I had expected.
A while back I was talking to Pete and by the time I converted the exchange, duty, etc... It was a lot cheaper to just buy it here.

I will PM you in a second!
