I decided to try a change of strings to allow me to tune it E A D G C and so far I'm quite pleased with it.
I've always felt that the low notes were wasted for the sort of music I play (accompanying an acoustic guitarist) and with more and more opportunity to play little runs and solos I felt that it would be more useful this way, just have to get used to it and see if it's an improvement.
As the 5 has always seemed darker in tone to the 4 I'll make the next set some stainless steels to see if I can tweak the tone slightly closer, though it's sounding very nice as it is.
