OK...I can't stop looking at this beauty. My question is.....why are the fret markers different? They are just the "dots" and not the normal bongo "c" shaped fret markers?

Are the pickup pole pieces gold or is it just a reflection , and +1 on the dots, why?

I thought the BC Bongos had dots as well. Do the Envy Greens? Strummer?

Gorgeous basses! I may have to run to my local GC and check out the Bongo. I have played Stingrays since 77 so it's hard to drag an old dog away from something he's familiar with. Lets see how it goes.

I have a feeling you will be pleasantly surprised. :)

Feel the same way about my wife.;)

Well, I found a close-up of an envy green bongo and it had the "C" shape. I thought BC's had dots. Gonna poke around some more.

edit: Checked over at Bass Central. They still got pics of BC Bongos up and, yup, they got dots. Interesting.

The dots on the Buttercremes are buttercreme colored.

And you're right about the new ones - I do not know why they have dots.

And yes, you can get an SR4 in whatever config in the Ltd Edition.

In fact, I think we've already ordered quite a few.

Man, that roasewood bongo is ABSOLUTELY irresistable except for the fact that it's missing a string . ;)

My wife even said she finally saw a bongo she can say she liked to look at
