I'm just intrigued on how sequoia gold is such a beautiful finish (possibly the best limited edition ever), i've been wondering, how is it made? Is just one ready mixed colour applied or is it made up of a fine gold sparkle finish with a transparent brown sprayed over it?

Anyone who knows, please enlighten as to how it's done.

I think Poppa's story was that they (Dargie and the gang) were playing with colors and came across that gold sparkle (is it sparkle or metallic?), and when Dudley saw it he suggested that they tobacco burst it. If I remember correctly, that was the case. Poppa can correct me if I'm wrong or have an inventive memory.

Thats a pretty cool story for a pretty cool finish . So in theory, not that anyone should, but if you were to remove the top coat from sequoia gold you would end up with a gold sparkle bass. Even though you need not and should not mess with EBMM basses, with time (and alot of use causing chips, dings and wear etc.) bits of gold will start to show through the finish. Well I hope I see a sequoia gold bass in ten years time. :D
