well spotted on both counts.
Big PG and Mr.Big fan as a young budding guitarist.
And as for the guitar, the lacquer had started to chip off around the trem plate screws and then also around the bridge posts and 5 way so i decided to get it stripped and oiled.
Love oil finished ash where you can see the grain through the colour, and it also lightened the guitar and increased the sustain a bit.
i didn't want to try and make it look like new but still wanted the colour to be a reminder of how it was.
