I've given this some thought and have concluded that slapping some Tool should really be done in private.

The worse part is they were vaguely trying to do it in unison, yes...a circle Tool wank...

Smart guy. I grab the SR4 HH because it's closest and the setup is not quite right, a little clanky, but it's workable. After the Lone Wanker gives up the amp, I plug it in, much better but still weird. It sounds....off. I say to Paul, "Remind me to never buy one of these cabinets."

Then I notice the amp. Aiiyyyy, holy crap. NO MIDS. NONE. Ugly damned smiley face scoop on the EQ. Trable maxed. Bass DIMED. All kinds of wanky buttons are depressed.

I've found that mids are the secret to my tone, and the Bongo should help immensely in that department. The Daion, with freshly boiled strings and a bit of fine tuning in the midrange from the head, sounds great now, though, so I should be able to survive until March.

Someone must have been trying to do a Fieldy impression:D

The bad news is that Jeremy, aged four, now wants a Korg workstation.
Got to take the good with the bad here... at least he is showing signs of taste and refinement (you should be a proud papa about that) - he could have run up to cheap fluorescent green BC Rich and started pointing at that.

On a similar note, my almost 3 daughter ran up to a Mesa PowerHouse cab and Big Block 700 and gave it a hug (she's never even seen one before) - said it was "putty" and we should take it home... brought tears to my eyes (pride or it might have been because my wife witnessed it all, hit me upside the head and said "you did this to her!" after she saw the price tag).

It is indeed, a rarity for any woman to care about the price tag.....

I can't imagine who this Marriott guy was, but he was certainly thinking right when he came up with that.

Words to live by.

I really, in my secretest dreams, want to open Bovine Bass Emporium. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any money to do it with. I think I'd be good at it, though. Well, I guess it would really be Dude and Bovine's Bass Nirvana or something, because I couldn't do it without Steebo.

And even if I could, I wouldn't want to.

Are you a pirate by an chance?

Hey Colin, did you hear about that new pirate movie?

It's rated ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Rayan even signs his name "R" ;)
The bass emporium is a good idea if you can pull it off. I think the internet bassed (pun intended) business is the way of the future though. Maybe the Virtual Bass Emporium?
